Happy customers.
The recent Scaravelli yoga Workshop helped me to think about the movements and how stretching yourself into a posture might not be the best thing for your body! Thanks Erling for a really interesting and informative day.
Lovely place, lovely hosts and a really lovely weekend of yoga, healthy food and walks on the beach. Really enjoyed my weekend at Isle of Yoga, highly recommended.”

“This is a rare place that manages to be homely and special at the same time. I have stayed at Isle of Yoga as a b&b guest, as a participant on a yoga retreat, and run a yoga residential weekend myself there. In all three scenarios, I wouldn’t change a thing about the place, hosts or offering. The location is perfect too. Enjoy, whatever your reason for staying here (you will). ”

I fractured my sacrum (lower back) eight months before i started my first ever yoga class with Erling. I had a six week one to one course. On arrival Erling made me feel very relaxed as i was quite nervous. My main problem was movement and confidence to bend due to my back injury. By the end of my course i felt much more confident to do things i had not been able to do since my injury thanks to Erling's encouragement, knowledge and expertise. I would definitely recommend him.

Thank you Tina for these kind words. I enjoyed working with you enormously you are a great student you helped yourself heal well done.

Happiness and Karma

Very welcoming and friendly, relaxed atmosphere, beautiful Edwardian house.
We stayed in the flat which had comfortable accommodation, airy and bright. It was nice to have our own entrance. Although we didn't cook for ourselves, the small kitchen was very well equipped.
Erling and Elaine who hosted the retreat and whose home we were staying in complemented the yoga offered by Louisa, which was inspired by Scaravelli . The style works from the spine with the breath and is both gentle and energising... and well worth trying. We also had the added bonus of using aromatic oils especially mixed for us by Louisa. Erling also covered a session which was an extra treat.

Thank you Hilary for the kind words.. We're still feeling the love from the weekend.. We hope you'll be back. Erling x

Best three days in ages

Just what I needed - a warm welcoming house with lovely original artwork, the most delicious food (a very generous supply), 5 mins walk from the sea - and a fantastic yoga teacher (Louisa Burtwell). All in all a total Mind Body Spirit experience which left me feeling elated. A big thank you to Erling, Elaine and Louisa who all went the extra mile to make it the best three days in ages.

Thank you for these kind words Clare. We all loved hosting this retreat, you were delightful guests and students. We'll look forward to seeing you again.

Retreat with Louisa Burtwell May 2018

I have just returned from a three day Scaravelli approach Yoga retreat with Louisa Burtwell hosted by Elaine & Erling at the Isle of Yoga which i would highly recommend to any yogi. Elaine & Erling are very warm & welcoming , have a beautiful home 5 minutes walk from the beach , purpose built yoga studio with an amazing sound system, served delicious healthy meals , comfortable shared and or single bedrooms with an array of tea options to have in your room and or sun room where you can relax. Louisa Burtwell is an inspiring yoga teacher who has helped deepen my practice through her amazing yoga guidance/teaching on listening and responding to the body through breathing, relaxing, and expanding into asanas. Louisa also brought with her personally made essential oils and spritiz's which were used during the yoga & meditation sessions. A truly memorable retreat.

Thank for these kind words Bridget, you were a delight to have here. We hope you will come back another time. x
