Isle of Yoga can offer accommodation to visiting guest students. The Island is a beautiful place to practice yoga offering a unique stillness that fits so well with this Scaravelli practice.

The workshop is spilt into morning and afternoon sessions and a delicious homemade lunch is included. Isle of Yoga can offer a nurturing environment to explore a yoga practice. Spaces are limited to 9 students.

Erling graduated as a 200 hour dip. 2 Scaravelli inspired yoga teacher from the Acquaviva School of Yoga This is one of the only teacher training platforms for Scaravelli inspired yoga.

“Developing a safe and informed yoga practice will bring untold rewards to the individual and I think Vanda Scaravelli found within herself a kind, direct route to that which is Yoga…a state of being..She has influenced many others to find that too. I hope to share some of her, and my teachers insights so you might let go of some of the heaviness and walk away lighter, even taller and happier from a weekend on the Isle of Wight.”

Scaravelli inspired Yoga Workshop.

Scaravelli inspired Yoga Workshop weekend at Isle of Yoga. Here you can learn how to develop a safe and informed Scaravelli yoga practice. Can we develop postures around the body? Rather than the body around postures? Thus can we get beyond the mind in our practice? Since our habits have formed us, its hard to see the wood for the trees. Therefore we focus on developing new ways to work that release tension. Letting go needs to be practiced.

A Yoga Workshop is a full day of immersive yoga work.

You can expect to see things a little differently about your attitude to your body. Also about your ideas and attitude to yoga postures or asana practice. Breath and the spaces we develop are so closely linked. After a yoga workshop day you can expect to feel your breath differently, walk a little lighter and feel a little taller.

Feeding the body during the Scaravelli inspired yoga workshop.

Lunch included, the day is split into a morning and afternoon sessions. We offer accommodation to guests visiting us. Quietness is a unique quality the Island has to offer. Isle of Yoga is lucky to have a beautiful and nurturing environment to explore our yoga practice in.

We offer a pre workshop overnight option to visiting guests students which includes supper and breakfast. We provide lunch to all participants and run this yoga workshop to smaller groups, max 8. This we feel enables us to really be able to focus on the individuals and respond to their needs.

Looking forward to meeting you at Isle of Yoga.

The recent Scaravelli yoga Workshop helped me to think about the movements and how stretching yourself into a posture might not be the best thing for your body! Rather that smaller more focussed movement is better for you. Thanks Erling for a really interesting and informative day. Who would have thought moving so little could be so tiring!! A fabulous course. x

A lovely workshop in a warm and gracious environment with lovely hospitality. Like Betty, although I have practiced yoga for years this was my first experience of Scaravelli yoga and I greatly enjoyed it. The focus on inner movement and spaceousness of the body I found particularly helpful. Come with an open mind, be in the moment of the practice and enjoy a lovely relaxing, deepening day. I will definitely be booking some more classes.

Just been on an amazing Yoga Workshop in the Isle of Wight. Although I have practiced different types of yoga in the past, this is my first experience of Scaravelli yoga. It has taught me to stop striving for the posture and listen to my body.
Thank you Erling and Elaine for your wonderful hospitality in your lovely home.
I shall definitely be attending future workshops with you.

Another great workshop, my second, and I will be coming back for the next one as well. It’s great to be able to spend a day immersing oneself in the practice. I love the doing, my favourite part, but it is also good to be able to chat, ask questions and explore it in a workshop environment. I would recommend it to anyone but it has worked for me in giving me space and length in my body, especially my spine. Having space in the spine is a great feeling! Yoga, possibly not as you know it or have experienced it before.

I had a Great Experience at Isle of Yoga learning about Scaravelli Yoga … It was mind opening and has changed the way i think about yoga and how my body works … I particularly took away its not all about them super stretches (Hatha Yoga) there can be lots of work done with small interconnected movements…there was a great bunch of people there to share the experience with and i would like to say a special thank you to our warm hosts Erling McCracken and Elaine McCracken for this wonderful day 🙂

Elaine and Erling have extensive knowledge of their field of Yoga with many years experience in practise and teaching. They offer a nurturing approach in their teaching and I thoroughly enjoyed my last workshop with them. As a dancer + fitness instructor I am constantly using my body and this style of Yoga allows me to unwind and relax and make subtle adjustments in the way I move. I shall be back for more workshops in the future! Thanks Elaine & Erling 🙂
